I am a 28 year old living on the Sunshine Coast, Australia. I have written 2 books and am currently half way through my 3rd book. I am attending the Sunshine Coast University doing a Bachelor of Creative Writing. I enjoy writing poetry the most and like to have my work read out at venues. I taught myself to read by watching Seseme Street and Play School from an early age. I had no way of communicating to anyone until I was 16 years old. I use Facilitated Communication to write and express myself.

I am Glen’s mother and it was the most amazing day when Glen began communicating. I had no idea he understood what was being said to him and then he said ‘I love you Mum’.
My life changed from that day, to the wonder of his possible abilities. He still teaches me something everyday.
